Environmental

With the yard situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, both horse and owner are treated to the best of what Yorkshire has to offer. The yard is sat on Sutton Bank, some 978ft above sea level, and is surrounded by natural forestry. This offers some a wonderful environment where the horses are surrounded by fresh, clean air and have the enjoyment of passing through the forest on a daily basis.

The gallops can be one of the most idyllic places on a clear morning. Although it is great to see your horse fly up the woodchip, you can also witness some breath-taking views that show Yorkshire at its finest.

Despite not having paddocks of our own we are very fortunate to be able to use some fantastic studs which allow the horses to fully relax away from the racing environment. They are run in a very professional manner and the horses are treated with expert attention. The horses love their time away at the studs and always come back in great health ready for the season ahead.

As well as being a beautiful area to train from Hambleton is also very central to many tracks and offers easy access to Britain’s racecourses. With tracks such as Thirsk, York, Doncaster, Beverley, Ripon, Catterick, Pontefract, Wetherby all within an hour, there are plenty of fantastic days racing on the doorstep. The A1 is only 15 minutes from the yard minimising the time to and from races and opening a great access route to all of the racecourses around the country.
